An assistant of each colleague’s own is what you get when you bring a chat service into the office. What comes next is one memory for the whole business. That is Bombos. ChatGPT dots are OpenAI’s always-on assistants: each dot has its own cloud computer, keeps working between conversations, and remembers for itself. Bombos works for the whole business: in AFAS (Dutch business software), Exact (Dutch accounting software), Outlook, and scheduling, with one memory where every approval and correction becomes a decision for all colleagues. Bombos is based in Utrecht and Nijmegen, visits when needed, at the start and afterwards, and asks less every week because it earns that through evidence from your business. For administrative work, Bombos wins on every point except the price per user. Bombos prepares the work, you approve it.

A dot takes over a task and works between conversations. OpenAI announced dots in late September 2026; you talk to them in ChatGPT, Slack, or Teams. Everything about dots comes from OpenAI itself and was read on 2 October 2026.

OpenAI wins on price per seat: 100 to 125 dollars per user per month. That amount gets one colleague a dot. You do not get a company memory with it, because OpenAI nowhere states that what one dot learns reaches another. And nobody sits down at your table. Bombos charges one amount for the whole business, and all of that is included.

From a dot per colleague to one memory for the business

What Jan teaches his dot, Marieke’s dot does not know. A dot remembers per dot: memories from ChatGPT and its own memories. Jan in administration teaches his dot that invoices from that particular supplier go to cost centre 4300. Whether that automatically applies to Marieke’s dot is not stated anywhere in what we read. Shared knowledge lives in Space, where colleagues edit pages together and call in their dot (OpenAI, Space). Only for specialist dots does OpenAI write that they improve with feedback from the team. With Bombos, Jan’s yes applies to Marieke tomorrow and to the new colleague starting on Monday, without anyone passing it on. Bombos has one memory, and it belongs to the business.

With a dot, you switch independence on. Bombos earns it. For each type of action, you choose with a dot: do it without asking, only do it if you asked beforehand, ask first, or hand it back to you. That is a setting. With Bombos, every approval and correction becomes a decision with the reason attached, ready when a similar case comes back. That is how Bombos asks less every week, because it earns that through evidence from your business, never because someone moves a slider. Everything going outside passes through one door with a logbook, and an email to a customer never goes out without your approval.

Bombos works in your business’s software. Bombos reads and writes in AFAS, Exact, Outlook, and scheduling. In the dots announcement, help page, and documentation we read, not a single accounting package is listed among the plugins.

Bombos takes the shape of your business. A dot learns how you like to do things. Bombos learns how the business works: it looks back each night at that day’s work and proposes standing work rules, and you say yes or no. Afterwards your own team teaches it the next task.

With Bombos, your service is in the Netherlands. You speak Dutch with the people who build it, and they visit when needed: at the start to set up the first process with your own work on screen, and afterwards whenever the work calls for it. With dots, help goes through a help centre with chat, business questions through a form, and OpenAI writes that the sales department does not answer every request. OpenAI does not mention an on-site visit; only for Enterprise do OpenAI employees help in targeted pilots with a “specialist dot”.

If one person delegates their own work, a dot is fine. A business’s work belongs in one memory for everyone, and with Bombos it is ready there every morning.

Frequently asked questions

Do ChatGPT dots work in the Netherlands?

Yes, through Business Premium: it gets dots in all supported regions, and Enterprise gets them in beta once the administrator enables them. A personal Pro subscription in the EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom did not get dots at launch. Bombos is a Dutch company and works throughout the Netherlands.

What does it cost per month?

Business Premium costs 125 dollars per user with monthly billing and 100 dollars with annual billing; the first dot is included. After the three-month pilot (2.000 euros), Bombos costs 1.000 euros per month, excluding VAT, for the whole business.

Does it send emails itself?

A dot can, within the rules you configure: you can choose to let it act without asking. It uses your personal email account; a separate email address for the dot was not possible at launch. Bombos prepares the email, and it only goes out after your approval.

Does a dot work in my accounting software?

OpenAI mentions more than 4,000 apps through plugins. Names of Dutch packages such as AFAS or Exact are not in the pages we read. Bombos works with every package you use, from Exact and AFAS to Twinfield (Dutch accounting software) and Outlook.

What happens to my data?

OpenAI does not use content from Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces to improve models by default, and your dot runs on its own computer, separate from your laptop unless you connect it. OpenAI does not specify where the data is stored in the pages we read. Bombos runs on its own servers in Europe.
