No. An assistant that remembers per person is where consumer AI stands today. A business’s work runs on a memory that belongs to the business. That is Bombos. Meta Muse is a personal assistant that sends emails, books trips, and makes purchases, and since 29 September 2026 also has business connections including QuickBooks, Shopify, and Slack. Muse is only available in the United States and Canada, and works for one person. Bombos works for the whole business: in AFAS (Dutch business software), Exact (Dutch accounting software), Outlook, and scheduling, with one memory where every approval and correction becomes a decision for all colleagues. Bombos is based in Utrecht and Nijmegen, visits when needed, at the start and afterwards, and asks less every week because it earns that through evidence from your business. For a Dutch business, Bombos wins on every point except the price per person. Bombos prepares the work, you approve it.
Everything about Muse comes from Meta itself and was read on 2 October 2026.
What is Meta Muse, and what is Muse for Small Business?
Muse is the personal assistant Meta introduced on 8 September 2026. You talk to it in the Muse app or in WhatsApp, and Muse keeps working in the background when you close the app. Muse for Small Business arrived on 29 September: skills and connections that give Muse access to Instagram analytics, Facebook pages, Meta ads, and dozens of other services, such as Asana, Canva, Notion, QuickBooks, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, and Zoom.
Meta Muse and Bombos side by side
| Assistant | What it does | Where it works | What it costs | How you get help | What it remembers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Muse | Sends emails, books trips, and makes purchases from its own virtual computer with a browser. For small businesses, connections are added to that (Meta, Introducing Muse; Meta, Muse for Small Business) | United States and Canada (Meta, Muse for Small Business). Subscriptions are not yet available everywhere (Meta Help) | Free with a usage limit. Power costs 20 dollars per month, Maximum 100 dollars per month (Meta Help) | Online, through the Muse Help Center with explanatory articles (Meta Help) | What matters to one person; you can have it forget things, edit it yourself, or import memory from another assistant (Meta, Introducing Muse; Meta Help) |
| Bombos | Reads email at the connected addresses, finds the case file in your own software, and prepares a proposal; you approve it (Bombos, start with a pilot) | Throughout the Netherlands, from Utrecht and Nijmegen, in Dutch and English per conversation; runs on its own servers in Europe (Bombos, about us) | A three-month pilot for 2.000 euros, then 1.000 euros per month, excluding VAT, for the whole business, with setup and guidance (Bombos, what it costs) | In Dutch, with the people who build it: calls, emails, and visits when needed, at the start and afterwards (Bombos, about us) | Every approval and correction becomes a decision for the whole business; one colleague’s correction then applies to everyone (Bombos, start with a pilot) |
Muse wins on price per person: free with a usage limit, or 20 to 100 dollars per month. That amount gets one person an assistant. You do not get a company memory with it, decisions that apply to your colleagues, or anyone who visits. Bombos charges one amount for the whole business, and all of that is included.
After the personal assistant comes the company’s memory
Muse stops at North America’s border. Meta names the United States and Canada. There is no date for the Netherlands in the announcements we read. Bombos is based in Utrecht and Nijmegen and works throughout the Netherlands, today.
What Jan teaches Muse, Marieke’s Muse does not know. Muse remembers what matters to one person, and learns per person which decisions need your approval (Meta Help). Jan in administration teaches his assistant that invoices from that particular supplier go to cost centre 4300; Marieke, two desks away, starts from zero. With Bombos, Jan’s yes applies to Marieke tomorrow and to the new colleague starting on Monday, without anyone passing it on. Bombos has one memory, and it belongs to the business.
With Muse, you click “Always allow”. Bombos earns it. You can permanently allow a type of action in Muse, and Muse learns per person which decisions need your approval (Meta Help). With Bombos, every approval and correction becomes a decision with the reason attached, ready when a similar case comes back. That is how Bombos asks less every week, because it earns that through evidence from your business, never because someone flips a switch. Everything going outside passes through one door with a logbook, and an email to a customer never goes out without your approval.
Bombos works in your business’s software. Bombos reads and writes in AFAS, Exact, Outlook, and scheduling. Muse names QuickBooks and Shopify, but no Dutch accounting packages; custom connections exist for services Meta does not support (Meta Help).
Bombos takes the shape of your business. Muse knows your business through your Meta accounts and lets you adjust personality and memories. Bombos starts with how you work: it looks back each night at that day’s work and proposes standing work rules, and you say yes or no. Afterwards your own team teaches it the next task, without needing technical skills.
With Bombos, your service is in the Netherlands. You speak Dutch with the people who build it, and they visit when needed: at the start to set up the first process with your own work on screen, and afterwards whenever the work calls for it. For Muse, Meta names an online help centre. It does not list a phone number or an on-site visit.
If you are in the United States and run your shop and marketing alone, Muse is fine. A Dutch business works from one memory for everyone, and that memory is Bombos.
Frequently asked questions
Does Meta Muse work in the Netherlands?
No. Meta names the United States and Canada. Bombos works throughout the Netherlands.
What does it cost per month?
Muse is free with a usage limit; Power costs 20 dollars and Maximum 100 dollars per month, for one person. After the three-month pilot (2.000 euros), Bombos costs 1.000 euros per month, excluding VAT, for the whole business.
Does it send emails itself?
Muse asks for approval for sensitive actions such as sending an email or buying something; Meta writes that nothing is published, sent, or spent without your approval. With “Always allow”, you permanently allow a type of action, and Muse then stops asking. Bombos prepares the email, and it only goes out after your approval.
Can Muse do my bookkeeping?
Muse has a connection to QuickBooks. AFAS and Exact are not on the list Meta gives. Bombos works with Exact, AFAS, Syntess (Dutch business software), Twinfield (Dutch accounting software), Nmbrs (Dutch HR and payroll software), and Outlook.
What happens to my data?
Muse runs on its own virtual computer and, according to Meta, has a protection layer preventing your data from being shared without your approval. You can choose whether your conversations may be used to train Meta’s models. Meta does not specify where the data is stored in the pages we read. Bombos runs on its own servers in Europe.
