**You can, but it does not fit. Personal assistants take over private life; a business’s work goes into a memory that belongs to the business. That is Bombos. Instinct has no business version: the licence says “personal use” and there is no memory shared by colleagues. Instinct is a personal assistant from San Francisco that texts or calls you and books, buys, and cancels on your behalf, available only by invitation since August 2026 and without a published price. Bombos works for the whole business: in AFAS (Dutch business software), Exact (Dutch accounting software), Outlook, and scheduling, with one memory where every approval and correction becomes a decision for all colleagues. Bombos is based in Utrecht and Nijmegen, visits when needed, at the start and afterwards, and asks less every week because it earns that through evidence from your business. Bombos wins on every point except price. Bombos prepares the work, you approve it.**

## What is Instinct, and who is it built for?

Instinct has no screen of its own. You send a text or call, and Instinct uses a phone and computer as a person does ([Instinct](https://instinct.com/)). According to Reuters, via AI Weekly, the US start-up raised 1 billion dollars on 28 September 2026 and has been available only by invitation since August 2026 ([AI Weekly](https://aiweekly.co/alerts/instinct-raises-1b-series-c-at-10b-for-personal-ai-agent)).

Instinct wins on price: it is currently free ([Vellum](https://www.vellum.ai/blog/official-instinct-breakdown)). You do not get a company memory with it, decisions that apply to your colleagues, anyone who visits, or a business version: the licence is for personal use. Bombos charges one amount for the whole business, and all of that is included.

## From your private life to your business’s work

**Instinct stops at your business’s front door.** The terms allow “personal use only”. Arranging a ride to the airport or booking a handyman for your apartment are the examples Instinct itself gives ([Instinct](https://instinct.com/)). Administration, the shared mailbox, and scheduling do not belong there. That is where Bombos begins.

**What Jan teaches Instinct, Marieke does not know.** Instinct is built around one person and one phone number. A shared memory for a team does not appear in what we read. If Jan in administration teaches his assistant that invoices from that particular supplier go to cost centre 4300, that does not exist for Marieke. With Bombos, Jan’s yes applies to Marieke tomorrow and to the new colleague starting on Monday, without anyone passing it on. Bombos has one memory, and it belongs to the business.

**With Instinct, an agreement is immediately binding. With Bombos, it comes to you first.** According to the terms, agreements Instinct makes are binding on you, and actions cannot always be undone ([Instinct, terms](https://www.instinct.com/terms)). With Bombos, every approval and correction becomes a decision with the reason attached, ready when a similar case comes back. That is how Bombos asks less every week, because it earns that through evidence from your business, never because someone flips a switch. Everything going outside passes through one door with a logbook, and an email to a customer never goes out without your approval.

**Bombos works in your business’s software.** Bombos reads and writes in AFAS, Exact, Outlook, and scheduling. Instinct works through phone calls, texts, and the services you connect; Dutch software packages do not appear in what we read.

**Bombos takes the shape of your business.** Instinct revolves around one person’s jobs. Bombos starts with how you work: it looks back each night at that day’s work and proposes standing work rules, and you say yes or no. Afterwards your own team teaches it the next task.

**With Bombos, your service is in the Netherlands.** You speak Dutch with the people who build it, and they visit when needed: at the start to set up the first process with your own work on screen, and afterwards whenever the work calls for it. Instinct’s terms list two email addresses and the text keyword HELP. They do not list a phone number, a helpdesk page, or an on-site visit.

If you want to hand over a trip or a cancellation as a private individual, Instinct is fine. A business’s work belongs in a memory that belongs to the business, and that memory is Bombos.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Instinct work in the Netherlands?

There is no official country list; users report using it in Europe. Instinct has published nothing about European privacy legislation, a data processing agreement, or where data is stored ([Hundred Labs](https://hundredlabs.de/en/blog/instinct-ai-personal-agent/)). Bombos works throughout the Netherlands and runs on its own servers in Europe.

### What does it cost per month?

Instinct has not published a price; it is currently free ([Vellum](https://www.vellum.ai/blog/official-instinct-breakdown)). After the three-month pilot (2.000 euros), Bombos costs 1.000 euros per month, excluding VAT, for the whole business.

### Does it send emails itself?

Instinct can text and call on your behalf, has its own email address, and gets to work by itself when given an instruction ([Hundred Labs](https://hundredlabs.de/en/blog/instinct-ai-personal-agent/)). Bombos prepares the email, and it only goes out after your approval.

### Who is liable if something goes wrong?

The terms limit Instinct’s liability to the greater of 100 dollars or what you paid over the last six months, and disputes go to binding arbitration through JAMS, in English and without a judge or jury ([Instinct, terms](https://www.instinct.com/terms)). With Bombos, no payment, message to a customer, or contract goes out without your approval.

### What happens to my data?

Instinct may use your input to train models unless you turn that off in the settings. That choice does not undo earlier training, and Instinct can still use data flagged for a safety review ([eesel](https://www.eesel.ai/blog/instinct-ai-review)). Instinct does not use what you put in the Vault for training ([Instinct, terms](https://www.instinct.com/terms)). The privacy policy does not name the model provider behind it or how long data is retained ([eesel](https://www.eesel.ai/blog/instinct-ai)). Bombos runs on its own servers in Europe.
