# How do you connect BambooHR to your inbox so that emailed hours and time off requests end up in BambooHR?

You connect BambooHR to your inbox by putting Bombos next to it. Bombos reads what arrives by email, such as a photo of a paper timesheet, a time off request or a note about a new hire, and looks up the employee and the balance in BambooHR. The time entries or the reply are ready as a proposal, and after your approval in Bombos they are in BambooHR. It works next to BambooHR, not instead of it.

## What Does BambooHR Already Do, and What Not?

BambooHR does a lot by itself. With the Time Tracking add-on, employees clock in and out from the BambooHR home screen, and a manager approves their time with one click. Time off requests and balances run through self service on desktop or the BambooHR Mobile app, with a Who's Out calendar and automatic reminders. Onboarding sends pre-onboarding packets and first day details, and Bamboo AI can approve routine timesheets.

What falls outside BambooHR is everything that never went through it. A crew member who does not clock in sends a photo of his paper timesheet. A colleague asks for Friday off in an email to her manager. A team lead writes that the new hire starts Monday and needs a laptop. Your office manager reads it, looks up the employee and the balance, and types it in by hand.

That groundwork is what Bombos prepares. It reads the hours, looks up the employee and the hours agreement in BambooHR, lays out the time entries with every difference and its reason, and asks for what is missing. An agreement that only lives in someone's head, Bombos asks about and records, so it counts next time.

## Which Tasks Run on BambooHR?

Each task below starts in your inbox or in a text message and ends in BambooHR after your approval in Bombos. The hours from a photo become time entries per day. A time off request gets a checked balance and a draft reply to the colleague who asked. A new employee gets a first day where the account, the laptop and the welcome are arranged before Monday. An applicant who emailed last week gets an answer. Every proposal shows the photo or the email it came from, so checking it takes a glance instead of a search through the inbox. None of this asks your people to work differently than they do today. You start with one task. After that, your own team teaches Bombos the next one, and you do not need to be technical for that.

## What Changes in Your Week?

On Friday the hours are in BambooHR without you chasing anyone for them. A time off request gets its answer the same day, with the balance already checked. A new colleague walks into a first day that was ready, not improvised. Your office manager reviews proposals instead of retyping photos. That is how you do more with the same team, and the work gets better too.

You get that for less than half a day a week of the employee you would otherwise hire. We set up the first task together with you, with your own BambooHR and your own mailbox. After that you can do it yourself, and your own team decides which HR task comes next. The time that frees up goes to the people, not the paperwork.

## What Doesn't Go Out Without Your Approval?

Bombos books no hours in BambooHR, answers no time off request and sends no message to an employee, a new hire or an applicant until someone at your company presses Approve in Bombos. That goes for a routine week too. That limit is always on. Only Bombos can switch it off, at your explicit request and at your own risk.

For every step you can read back afterwards what happened and why. For the work inside your office, such as looking things up, checking and preparing, you decide how much Bombos does ahead of time; messages to customers and payments always wait for your approval. A proposal can be wrong, even when the reason sounds believable. When in doubt, Bombos asks instead of guessing.

Bombos also works with [Bullhorn](https://bombos.ai/en/integrations/bullhorn/), [Avionté](https://bombos.ai/en/integrations/avionte/), and [TempWorks](https://bombos.ai/en/integrations/tempworks/).

All tasks Bombos takes on are listed under [use cases](https://bombos.ai/en/use-cases/).

## Leave your number and we'll call you back to talk through your situation.

A few lines about how things go at your company is enough, or just your number. You won't get a sales pitch but a conversation: what stands out to us, which work could get lighter first at your company and what your team can take on after that. It costs nothing. If we see something worthwhile together, we start with that first piece of work.
